Just east of the Sierra Mountains is a small area of unparalled photo opportunty. Mono Lake, one of North America's oldest lakes, is a majestic body of water with calcium-carbonate formations which make it an amazing place to photograph and experience. Just north of Mono Lake is the old Bodie Ghost Town, a historic, and well preserved, California mining town. Mammoth Lakes sit just to the west of Mono Lake.
