TESTIMONIALS

We had such a great time with you, Jeff, and others on the workshop. So amazing. You must be feeling really great about the success of your workshop. The final day slide show said a lot about your creative influence and the growing skills of those keep returning for more JKPW. Many thanks for creating lasting memories and improving our photography.  We look forward to our next workshop!

I've always wanted to learn more on black and white photography and there just aren't that many workshops out there specifically dedicated to this. I've learned a lot from you and I can't wait to edit the photos later on using what I've learned!
I left the workshop feeling that I have learned more than just photography from you. You led the workshop with so much kindness and patience. You reminded us to take it all in and listen to the wind. I appreciate how you were there to teach and share and make sure we were okay. You encouraged us to share what we see because 'creativity spreads' - I'll always remind myself of that when I go out to photograph with others.

You and your team are easily one of the best I have seen.

People always ask “what’s your favorite place you’ve been”, for me it’s never an easy answer.  Every place is different and each has its own unique character.  Africa thought definitely stands out amongst the top 5 places.  It’s a lot to spend on a trip but traveling with Jennifer you go beyond your moneys worth.  Everything is though out from a photographer’s perspective- location, logistics, timing.  One just shows up and engages with lions, cheetahs, and elephants in their natural surroundings; also wonderful people you meet along the way.  A trip with Jennifer King’s Photo workshop’s is a trip of a lifetime.

Incredible, fantastic, interesting, thrilling all come to mind, in reference to our trip but really don’t do it justice in describing how unique and fascinating it was. I would like to thank you and Randy for a very magical experience.

I feel very privileged to have participated in what proved to be such a well-produced workshop. Your team is excellent, from the talent of your models and their outstanding breadth of poses, the expertise in which the lighting setups were produced, the care of the wardrobe was selected-I am amazed I had the chance to participate.
-Tom Pierce

I attended the Bodie workshop never having photographed the Milky Way before and learned the information necessary to produce photos that are gallery quality. Jennifer spent the time with the participants to make sure that happened.
-Paul Thompson

I wanted to really thank you again for the best workshop I've ever been on. "Luck favors the prepared mind" ~Dr. Louis Pasteur. This perfectly sums up a JKPW workshop. Jennifer meticulously plans her workshops, putting you in the right place at the right time. In Iceland, this translated to seeing northern lights on three nights, a dozen rainbows, awesome sunrises and sunsets, waterfalls and numerous other awe inspiring photography opportunities! Jennifer is a great photographer with a wonderful eye, and the rare ability to assess each participants need, and assist accordingly. I highly recommend Jennifer's workshops, regardless of your skill level.

Having participated in three Jennifer King Photo Workshops (Iceland, the Oregon Coast and Glacier National Park), I have recommended Jennifer’s tours to all my photo friends and fellow camera club members. Every trip is meticulously planned to get you to the right spot at the right time. Her enthusiasm, energy and patience is boundless. Depending on your preference Jennifer and her attentive staff will give you close personal attention or allow you to explore your creativity on your own. I always come home with incredible images having made new friends along the way. My wife and I have certainly appreciated Jennifer’s non-photographer spouse friendly rates.

Where to start? Mentor, guide, friend, creative artist, expert on the technicals (camera, Lightroom etc.). I have been on 2 JK workshops, and plan to attend more in the future. Jennifer is a star!

Jennifer King's Death Valley workshop took full advantage of the dramatic shapes and vivid colors of a unique national park. But it was Jennifer's knowledge and dedication that made this a successful photographic journey. Her meticulous preparation (two days of scouting for four days of shooting), artistic skills and intensive focus on following the light, made it an outstanding experience. I've met many workshop leaders over the past eight years. Jennifer King is one of the very few that I recommend.

Sure Jennifer provides great workshops in stunning locations, and she provides excellent coaching and tips on the art and craft of taking plus editing photos, and she knocks herself out to make sure the total experience is great, but she also does something that is even more cool. She connects new friends and creates community. Thanks JK

Jennifer not only provides a unique educational experience but provides a personalized approach with an understanding and appreciation of each participants skills and interests.  My wife and I have done 2 photo trips with Jennifer and hope to be able to do more in the future.  Not only have these trips been educational but they are life experiences that are enriched by the knowledge and experience Jennifer and her team bring to these trips.

I have had the great pleasure of attending a number of Jennifer King Photography Workshops and have been thoroughly pleased with each one of them.  Jennifer and her team specialize in iconic locations often in our national parks.  These workshops are designed to help you become a better landscape photographer.  Jennifer and her team get us to the best locations at the right time of day to get those jaw dropping shots that you always wanted to take.  She and her team are also expert photographers who can help both newbies and experienced amateurs with composition and their equipment.  Not to mention that Jennifer is an incredibly kind person and a pleasure to be around!

I just returned from the Grand Tetons, my 2nd workshop with Jennifer. The 1st was Fall in the Smokies. Both workshops were thoroughly planned and expertly guided. Jennifer always got us to the right place at the right time to capture great shots. Beyond that, Jennifer, Randy and the other instructors offer great processing techniques and other valuable guidance to help improve your photography. All aspects of my photography have improved since attending JKPW's. Thanks Jennifer!
-Randy Mikesell

The single word that best describes Jennifer King workshops is “professionalism”. Meticulous planning, coupled with Jennifer’s photographic talent and boundless energy makes for a worthwhile experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the Badlands & Arches-Canyonlands Workshops and plan on returning.
-Ed Lee

I wanted to take a moment to thank you one last time for a terrific workshop. I feel like my eye improved, I have a couple more techniques in my repertoire, and I came away with several images which are easily personal bests. Thank you for that!
-Kurt Wall, Portland

I have been wanting to join a professional workshop for some time, and Jennifer is one of the best photographers I have run across in a long time. I really enjoyed her tutelage and guidance, and value her friendship. I look forward to joining her on another trek next year. If you are looking for some good professional training, I highly recommend Jennifer King Photo Workshops.

On the recommendation of a friend, I signed up for a workshop with Jennifer for the fall colors in the Smoky Mountains. It was a treat - and an enjoyable vacation, too! Jennifer has a keen and practiced eye for what makes images works, with a wonderful and relaxed talent for conveying her approach. Like any first-rate teacher, she's great at figuring out just what suggestions and feedback each participant needs in order to get the most out of his or her time, and tailors her approach accordingly. She had all sorts of useful guidance for scene selection and framing, lenses to use, camera settings, and post-processing. Jennifer is a great planner, too. She had scoped out quite a variety of wonderful locations in advance and fitted them into a well-planned out itinerary. Each day went smoothly ~ never rushed. Her workshops are highly recommended.
