Workshop Description
Bandon, Oregon is home to the most dramatic range of weather beaten sea stacks on the west coast. This display of towering rock formations remind us of the power of water and time, and provides photographers with incredible story to capture. We will stay just steps from the beach, and will explore and photograph Bandon, and the surrounding coastline for photography.
Each day we begin with a sunrise stroll along the beach just a short walk from our hotel, and end with a sunset at the beach or nearby coastal locations. We will spend our time photographing piers and lighthouses, as well as early morning light on sea stacks. Explore and photograph tidal pools, and work on creative long exposure photograph with waves. Seascapes are abundant here, and they are dramatic!
We will visit some remarkable state parks in the area that are perfect for capturing Oregon’s coast. Bandon Beach is an excellent place to relax, but still intensely photograph! We will teach you to see the beach in a new way with creativity and artistry! Hope you will join us in Bandon!
Itinerary
Day 1 AUG 23
7:00pm Meet & Greet in Bandon Beach
Day 2-4 AUG 24-26
We begin the day the beach, and end the day along the coast. We will photograph sunrises, sunsets, lighthouses and rugged coastlines.
Day 5 AUG 27
Our final morning at the beach, and a short walk from our hotel. Of course, we will go to breakfast!
We like to dine together as a group. Jackson Hole is home to some amazing restaurants, especially for breakfast!

Transportation - transportation is not included in the workshop though most people choose to ride share to photo locations
Meals - While meals are not included in the workshop fee, we like to dine as a group to discuss the day’s events and be on hand for any questions

Fitness Level Easy > Moderate
Walking along the beaches in Oregon is considered easy. The terrain varies from beach to overlooks and forest areas. We will photograph along the surf. Bandon sits on a cliff overlooking the beach. There are 3 areas to enter the beach with stairs. You must be able to go up and down these tall staircases and cary your equipment. You must be in general good health to successfully participate in this workshop.
