South Carolina is a land of enchantment from its cypress swamps to its beautiful gardens, plus all the coastal sunrises - make this the top photo destination on the east coast! Beauty lives here in the flowers, the wildlife, trees and beaches. We will stay at the Historic Middleton Inn which provides a unique opportunity to photograph sunrises on the river, catch the morning fog rolling through the live oaks, and spend time with birds and local wildlife. We will wander through Charleston’s many gardens, swamps and beaches, and take in all that this very special places has to offer.

ITINERARY

Monday, March 25 - Thursday, March 28
Our days will be filled with sunrises along the Ashley River, capturing early morning fog rolling through the area’s live oak trees, and photographing sunrises at nearby beaches and piers. We will visit and photograph the worlds finest gardens, host to trees hundreds of years old, bridges, lakes and ponds, local swamps for birds and wildlife, and of course, cypress trees living in nearby lakes. Workshop concludes at 12:00pm.

  Discounted lodging has been arranged at the The Middleton Inn, Charleston and booking information is provided upon registration. The lodging fee is not included in the workshop rate, and also does not include housekeeping gratuities (approx. $3-$5 per day), which the participant is responsible for.

• Transportation
  Many participants choose to ride to field sessions together by carpool. If you would like to arrange ride-share prior to the workshop with another participant, please let us know.

• Meals
  While meals are not included in the workshop fee, we like to dine as a group to discuss the day’s events and be on hand for any questions, Charleston is home to the world’s finest restaurants which we will visit. The restaurant at Middleton Inn is outstanding as well!

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, and involve photographing sunrise and sunsets, as well as other field sessions. While workshop locations vary, you should expect to walk relative distances with your equipment. Please refer to the Fitness Level below for each workshop. Some workshops are more strenuous than others. If you have any health issues or concerns, please reach out to us prior to registration.
