Creative Challenge “Panning”

Photo Panning is so much fun, and a great way to explore your camera’s ability! It takes patience, skill and a good understanding dragging your shutter speed.

Exposure times can range from 1/25 to 1.6” to get the desired result.

Each person will have their own comfort zone when it comes to movement of the camera. For some, a quicker movement during panning will produce a good result. For others, like me, slow, methodical movement of 0.5” seems to work best.
