$7200 USD
*INCLUSIVE

Iceland’s waterfalls are known to be the most majestic waterfalls in the world, and we are going to explore and photograph waterfalls from Northwest Iceland to the southern most point in Iceland - the charming town of Vik. We will begin with a 2-night stay in Budir where the crashing waves hit the seawalls, and hosts one of Icelands most famous waterfalls, Svartifoss. We will then move towards the interior of Iceland so that you can experience the thundering sound and massive waterfall, Gulfoss Waterfall and the geyser area. From Vik, we will photograph everything from canyons, to lava columns along the coast, a lighthouse and the black sand beach. We will experience what it is like to walk behind a waterfall at Seljalandsfoss, and experience the mist, calm and power of Skogafoss. There are waterfalls at almost every turn, and we will photograph the big ones, and the lesser known ones.

ITINERARY

DEPARTURE DAY FROM U.S.
Saturday, September 21

DAY 1: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22
You will arrive at the Reykjavik International Airport (KEF). Most flights arrive early in the morning from the U.S.
We will greet you at the airport and begin our journey to Budir in Northwestern Iceland. The Budir Hotel is the finest hotel in all of Iceland. It sits along the coast and offers the finest cuisine. The Black Church of Budir is on the property, and while it’s not a waterfall, we will certainly photograph it. We will kick off the workshop with a fabulous Welcome Dinner.

DAY 2: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23
We will explore the coastal sea walls, coves and waterfalls that fill this area of the country, and finish with a sunset at the iconic Svartifoss Waterfall just a short drive away.

DAY 3: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24
After breakfast, we will pack up and move down the road to our next hotel at Gulfoss Waterfall. This waterfall, and the geyser basin, are located in the central interior of the country, and is a must to experience. Our hotel for this night is only a few minutes from the massive waterfall, so we will have plenty of time to explore this area for a sunset and sunrise.

DAY 4 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
After our Gulfoss sunrise, we will depart our Gulfoss Hotel, and photograph many smaller waterfalls along the road to Vik.

DAY 5-7: THURSDAY - SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26-28
We have so much to explore in Vik. Waterfalls, water canyons, lava columns along the coast and more. We will immerse in all things water during our stay in the south of Iceland.

DAY 8: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
One final sunrise, and then return to our hotel in Vik for breakfast. We will depart the hotel at 11:00am and head back to KEF Reykjavik International Airport. Please plan your return flight to the US after 5:00pm.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please plan to arrive at the KEF International Airport no later than 11:00am on Sunday, September 22nd. If you need to arrive a night early, we will happily assist in booking you a room near the airport.

Please plan your return flight from KEF to the U.S. after 5:00pm on Sunday, September 29th.
