Workshop Description
Lamar Valley is a fun filled, and sometimes intense experience. We track, and listen, and track some more. The thrill of the sighting, the maneuvering to get to the right spot, and the anticipation of each day makes this experience just thrilling. Every photo is earned through patience and determination. Yes, sometimes luck is involved, but the best photos and memories come from the overall experience of winter wildlife in Lamar Valley.
JKPW has been conducting workshops in Yellowstone and Lamar Valley for 14 years. We know the area, we understand the wildlife and the obstacles, and over years of scouting, we each have developed a keen eye for spotting movement far beyond the road. Photographer Randy Wilson a.k.a “eagle eyes”, will guide you through the isolated and minimalistic Lamar Valley in Yellowstone in search for all that is wild! Lamar Valley is home to wolves, bison, moose, elk, fox, coyote and more, and this season is an incredible time to witness and capture wildlife in the valley.
Your workshop includes lodging in Gardiner, MT, transportation throughout Lamar Valley, round-trip transfer Bozeman Airport and adventure! 2026: 9 wolves, 3 coyote packs, 3 red fox, bison, elk, pronghorn, bighorn sheep and more!
