Our 2025 photo workshop is a special celebration: A Winter to Remember. Escape to winter and stay inside the park during your workshop for quick access to all the amazing spots for wildlife and landscapes. A private snow coach will escort you through the corners of the park to the most remote and beautiful locations. Imagine the snow covered wildlife, minimalistic landscapes and a geyser basin filled with frost and beauty.

While most workshop companies stay in West Yellowstone and Gardiner, we stay INSIDE Yellowstone throughout the workshop. This gives you the best possible experience. We’ll arrive at locations hours before other day visitors and experience better wildlife sightings, fresh fallen snow and frost. There is simply no better way to experience winter.

We provide the highest quality service at the lowest rate possible. We teach because we love photography, not for high profits! We are nearly half the rate of competitor’s workshops, and run with a smaller group and nicer accomodations.

*Itinerary, dates and pricing are subject to final approval by Yellowstone. Rates and availability are customarily confirmed by Groups Yellowstone by late June. All attempts are made to provide our requested dates.

• LODGING (6-NIGHTS) inside Yellowstone National Park (private lodge room).

• PRIVATE SNOW COACH (5-DAYS) to take us to locations throughout the park including Lamar Valley and Hayden Valley.

• GROUP TRANSPORTATION from BZN to Mammoth Lodge plus return to BZN.

• ALL FIELD INSTRUCTION including photographing wildlife techniques and photographing winter conditions.

• Meals
  While meals are not included in the workshop fee, we like to dine as a group to discuss the day’s events and be on hand for any questions. (Welcome dinner exception)

• Gratuity
  While lodging is included in your workshop fee, you are responsible for gratuity paid to housekeeping (Average of $5 per day), guides, and drivers.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: JAN 19
*Please plan to arrive in BZN no later than 1pm!*
2:00pm depart Bozeman (BZN) on private shuttle for our drive into the park
Check-in at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel
6:00pm Welcome Dinner

DAY 2: JAN 20
Depart Mammoth Lodge at 7:30am on our private snow coach and begin our photographic adventure through the park. Our luggage will be transported in a separate coach so that we have plenty of space for gear. We’ll have a full day of winter fun and photography. Lodging at Snow Lodge by Old Faithful.

DAY 3: JAN 21
Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph landscapes, wildlife and winter wonders. We will explore the remote location of Hayden Valley known for wolves, fox and otters. This area is also wonderful for vast, minimalist landscapes with hills of snow and trees. Lodging at Snow Lodge at Old Faithful.

DAY 4: JAN 22
Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph. The geysers at Biscuit Basin and Fountain Paint Pots are spectacular, and we will focus our time going through these locations to capture the best frost and steam landscapes Yellowstone has to offer. Lodging at Snow Lodge at Old Faithful.

DAY 5: JAN 23
Check-out of Snow Lodge at Old Faithful. Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph. Your luggage will be transported for you on another snow coach so there is plenty of space for gear. Lodging at Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge.

DAY 6: JAN 24
Full day exploring the Northeast corner of the park. Your private shuttle will take you through Lamar Valley until the sun goes down. Lodging at Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge.

DAY 7: JAN 25
9:00am Depart on private shuttle from Mammoth Hot Springs to BZN.
Please book your return flight after 3:00pm. If you are unable to get a late afternoon or evening flight, the shuttle can drop you off at the Holiday Inn at Belgrade. This hotel offers free airport shuttle for your return the next day.

NOTE: We will be conducting a processing class during our downtime, but when exactly it falls on our itinerary is subject to change with finalization of trip dates.
