Creative Challenge “Weather”

The purpose of this Creative Challenge is for you to observe nature more closely, and watch how elements like fog, clouds, frost and sun, can interact with your subject to create extremely dramatic images.

Your assignment is to seek out and capture photos where the element of weather is the Hero of the photograph… and the subject is secondary.

Think outside of the box with this one. Look for dew drops, rain on a windshield, clouds that are more than just a filler in your sky. If all you have is sun to work with, then the sun needs to be the power source that showcases your subject.

As photographers, we are often taught to photograph a certain way. I want you to learn to break the rules and allow yourself to see, think and create differently when the mood suits you. This month, let your inner artist out to play!
